3 credits (2 Credits in Japanese Language and 1 Credit in Japanese Culture)

The University of Shiga Prefecture (USP) is located in one of the most historically and culturally rich areas in Japan, called Hikone City. You still can enjoy big cities called Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya while you are staying in Hikone since there is a quick and easy access to those big cities!

Earn credits in Language and Culture!

45 hours of Japanese language course and 12 different cultural experiences, including Tea Ceremony, Flower arrangement, Calligraphy, Karate, Wearing Kimono, and visiting Ninja Village, Japanese Temples and Castles and more!

Monthly Study Schedule

Accommodations: Students will stay in furnished apartment rooms with shared kitchen, shared bathroom, and one individual room.

Program Costs for 2024 : JPY 80,000 ($540.00*)

It includes: Accommodation, textbook, tuition and all the activity fees listed on the schedule.
